![]() If I were to put a finger on what I like about this story, it's that everyone is wrong in some form or fashion. Not victimizing the predator and letting it go like the author did. Statutory rape is not ok, and while I think the author didn't intend for it to be seen as an acceptable thing, romanticizing "the relationship" and not giving consequences to the predator made it seem like it was. ![]() In my personal opinion, having the author handle this type of topic where it deals with an adult man and a child sexual relationship there needs to be actual consequences. I'm not one to stray away from taboo topics in literature, just how they choose to execute it is how I judge and rate them. I am not giving this a low rating for the content, just how the author went about with the ending. Where were the consequences? Nonexistent? hmm.ĭon't get me wrong. ![]() I wanted justice! Not a semi-happy ending where the child rapist/ predator/ victim and his victim get together. I'm giving this a low rating for how the author chose to handle the ending. This was honestly so disgusting, horrifying, and messed up. ![]()
